GREENLEES PARK COUCH
Characteristics:
Greenlees Park Couch is an easy to maintain variety of couch lawn. It is widely used on home lawns, bowling greens, golf tees and other areas where a fine leafed turf is required. It is a drought hardy, hard wearing grass that forms a dense mat, having moderate water, fertilizing and mowing requirements to maintain good appearance. It is comparatively low growing and can tolerate low mowing for domestic situations. Greenlees Park is an attractive, serviceable playing or decorative landscape lawn.

Retains good winter colour down to frost temperatures
Can discolour in frosty cold winters
Texture:
First of the ‘new breed’ finer leaf couches
Classed as semi dwarf variety
Dense low growing couch which produces a lush lawn with little extra maintenance
Hared wearing grass that forms a dense mat for a playing surface is required.
Mowing:
Should be mowed every week in summer, fortnightly in winter.
Can be mowed very low (5mm) for bowling greens, tees
Slightly higher (12-15mm) for domestic situations
In domestic situation it should be mown short and often to reduce thatching.
When mown with higher than normal heights it has proven to be a good
performer in heavy field playing use.
Fertilizing:
Fertilize lightly often for best results (1.5kg per 100m2 every 6 weeks)

Shade Rating = 1 out of 5 (i.e 1/5)
Requires a minimum of 8 hours direct sunlight each day
Thrives in hot high temperatures
In shaded areas turf becomes stressed and weak
Drought Tolerance:
Drought Rating = 4 out of 5 (i.e 4/5)
Moderate to high Drought Tolerance
Best if moderately watered once per week (20mm deep water)
Has a rapid recovery rate after lack of water
Wear Tolerance:
Wear Rating = 4 out of 5 ( i.e 4/5)
Moderate to high Wear Tolerance
Ideal for children and dogs in both front and back yards
