CONQUEST COUCH ( PATENTED TURF)
Characteristics:-
Conquest is one of the latest Patented Couch varieties. It is a prestige lawn that can be used in both domestic and commercial situations. It can be mowed both extremely short and long depending on the use intended. Conquest’s main strength, when compared to other wear tolerant couches is that Conquest has limited thatching and doesn’t show severe signs of scalping after mowing.
Colour: 
Bright Mid Green
Excellent colour retention all year if fertilized correctly
Considered one of the best green couches for colour retention
Texture:
Classed as a semi dwarf variety
It has a fine to medium texture blade
Develops quickly into a thick lush green mat which does not show signs of scalping or thatching
Mowing:
Recommended frequently is once per week in summer and
once per fortnight in winter.
Can be cut very short ( 3-5mm) for bowling greens, tees:
slightly higher (12-15mm) for domestic situations.
Will not show signs of scalping after mowing
Conquest has very low thatch characteristics
Fertilizing:
Requires less fertilizing than other green couches.
As Conquest holds its colour all year, the need for fertilizing often is reduced
Fertilize very lightly often for best results
(1.0kg per 100m2 every 6 weeks)
Shade & Temperature Tolerances:
Shade Rating = 2out of 5 (i.e. 2/5)
Requires a minimum of 7-8 hours direct sunlight each day
Thrives in hot high temperatures
In shaded areas turf becomes stressed and weak
Drought Tolerance:
Drought Rating=4.5 out of 5 (i.e4.5/5)
High Drought Tolerance
Requires less water rates than other green couches
Best if moderately watered once per week (15mm Deep Water)
Deeper root system than other green couches
Root system reaches 100mm approx. into the ground after 21 days of laying
Wear Tolerance:
Wear Rating =4.5 out of 5 (i.e. 4.5/5)
Very high to Excellent Wear Tolerance
The very thick sward provides an excellent, hardwearing surface
Recovers extremely rapidly from damage or stress
